Angry Birds has hit the 200 million mark! The hugely popular Angry birds has been downloaded 200 million times on various platforms.

The game’s developer Rovio has announced this outstanding achievement which so far is the most downloaded app on all the platforms.

To put the numbers in prospective, the popular Foursquare app has recently reached 10 million downloads and now compare that to Angry birds.

Angry birds since its launch in 2009 has grown at a staggering rate. Even though a major contribution to its success has to be the iPhone and the iPad but it has moved at a very fast rate on other platforms too, majorly the Android market. It has been launched on the Chrome browser too. Angry Birds is expected to hit the Windows Phone 7 29th June next month, which will again increase the downloads.

Angry Birds has not reached its final stages, it has just started. According to the brand “busy a social game around Angry Birds, expanding to new areas of entertainment business, and preparing for more growth throughout 2011.”

Angry birds recently won the Guinness World Record, another achievement to add in its growing basket.
