This news will cheer many PlayStation users who had been recently getting nothing but bad news about PlayStation Network getting hacked several times. Sony’s CFO has indirectly mentioned that they are working on the next generation PlayStation.
Sony’s CFO Masaru Kato while explaining the loss of about $3.1billion indirectly mentioned that they are working on the PlayStation 4. Don’t get your hopes too high it would be another couple of years before Sony launches their new product.
For the home equipment the PS3 still has a product life, but this is a platform business, so for the future platform – when we’ll be introducing what product I cannot discuss that – but our development work is already under way, so the costs are incurred there.
So its being developed that means a wait of at least 2 years before any body gets to see how the PS4 would look like but the good news is that at least they are working on the PS4.
Was all of this just to calm people down who have lost personal information and even credit card numbers in the recent PlayStation hacking saga. Your guess?
