The rumors regarding the iPhone 5 seem to show no sign of stopping, whether they are getting leaked via pictures or by allegedly iPhone 5 cases. It seems that iPhone 5 is going to be one show stopper.
Today another report, this time from the J.P Morgan analysts Mark Moskowitz mentions that Apple is gearing up for the iPhone 5 launch and another iPhone called iPhone 4 plus.
If you had been following the iPhone 5 rumor mill for sometime you would have heard much about this iPhone 4 plus or the iPhone 4S as most people are calling. It is going to be a cheaper version of the iPhone 4 that is mainly going to target the developing countries such as China with its huge population.
Apple Inc. is expected to launch two new iPhones this fall – an iPhone 5 with a new form factor and an iPhone 4-plus with minor improvements that could target China.
What this iPhone 4 plus or the iPhone 4S is going to do is set a entry level for the iPhone, currently the entry level is the iPhone 3GS. By launching the iPhone 4S Apple would gain a huge market share, as it is currently in talks with Chinese carriers; China Mobile and China Telecom, who have 600 million and 100 million subscribers respectively.
“A device targeting China could add to Apple’s super growth rates recently exhibited in the region,” he (Mark Moskowitz) told clients.
Mark Moskowitz, J.P Morgan analysts expects that iPhone 5 will be thinner and lighter and support GSM as well as CDMA but not LTE capable. iPhone 5 is expected to have an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and have a larger screen, notable a 4″ inch retina display.
Some iPhone 5 specs.
The new iPhone 5 stands to be based on the iPad 2′s A5 processor or a newer A6 version. We also expect 1GB of RAM to increase memory access times. Other improvements are increased battery life due to advancement in battery technologies, the printed circuit board (PCB), the touch screen, and LCD power consumption metrics.
As more time passes, we get closer to the official release day of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4 plus/S. Only time will tell if the iPhone 5 will take over the world’s mobile market.
