As we told you yesterday, iPhone Dev Team was going to release ultrasnow to unlock iPhone 4/3GS on iOS 5. Well Ultrasnow 1.2.4 has been released to unlock iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS on iOS 5. Check out the guide below to unlock your iPhone.

Note: 

Remember, the only way to get to iOS5 while preserving your ultrasn0w-compatible baseband is by using a custom IPSW.  redsn0w now has the ability to create such a custom IPSW for you (at least on Macs…the same capability for Windows will be coming soon).

Supported Basebands:

01.59.00 / 04.26.08 / 05.11.07 / 05.12.01 / 05.13.04 / 06.15.00

Basebands Not supported:

02.10.04 / 03.10.01 / 04.10.01 / 05.14.02 / 05.15.04 / 05.16.02

Unlock iPhone

STEP 1: You will need to be on iOS 5, go ahead and download iOS 5.

STEP 2: Jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 5, if not already jailbroken check out our guide on jailbreaking iOS 5

STEP 3: Open Cydia on your iPhone 4/3GS.

STEP 4: Go to Manage then Sources

STEP 5: Now select “Edit”, then tap on “Add”, and type  http://djayb6.com

Update: You have to add http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com not djayb6.com.

STEP  6: Now tap on “Add Source” then tap on Done

STEP 7: Search for “ultrasn0w 1.2.4” in  Cydia and install this application. This app will automatically unlock your iPhone so that you can use it with any carrier.

STEP 8: Now all you need to do is just restart your iPhone.

Congrats you have successfully unlocked your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS using Ultrasnow 1.2.3.
