Last time we told you about how to get the Siri GUI on your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and the iPod touch. The problem with installing Siri was that it could be installed but it wouldn’t work due to Apple servers not accepting any other iOS device except the iPhone 4S. Well it seems that hackers have got Siri to function properly on iPhone 4 and iPod touch.

A developer who goes by the name of Troughton-Smith has successfully ported Siri to iPhone 4 and iPod touch and has got it to work flawlessly. It is the same developer who we previously mentioned that was working on installing Siri on other iOS devices. Well seems he has finally cracked the code on getting Siri to other iOS devices.

Siri Available In Cydia?

This has got to be the most important question or well maybe the reason you are reading this article. Will Siri be available in Cydia store? Well according to the developer Troughton-Smith he won’t put it on the Cydia store. Something that will leave many of you disappointed but this is what the developer has to say about

No, I could not be a part of that. I have no doubts that others will package this up and distribute it quasi-illegally, or try and sell it to people. I am only interested in the technology and making it work; proving that it works and works well on the iPhone 4 and other devices.

There you go folks, he won’t sell it on Cydia but Siri will make its way to Cydia no matter what.
