Apple has just released iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Go ahead and download iOS 5.0.1 but there is a slight warning from jailbreakers that you should not update to this iOS firmware update from Apple.

iOS 5.0.1 brings some much needed changes, these include the battery problem which had been affecting so many users. Not only the battery problem is resolved but iPad 1 users can now enjoy multi-tasking as it was stopped with iOS 5

It also improves voice recognition for Australian users and other bugs regarding documents in the cloud.

iPod touch (4G) (3G)

For those of you who have been waiting for an untethered jailbreak do not update to iOS 5.0.1 as this has fixed a security hole that allows jailbreakers to jailbreak their iOS devices.

Pod2g couple of days ago announced that he had discovered a bug that would let people untethered jailbreak their iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. So for those folks who have been wanting an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 should not download iOS 5.0.1 as you won’t be able to get that precious untethered jailbreak.
