The iPhone Dev team has just updated their software solution for unlocking iPhone. Ultrasnow 1.2.5 has been released for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 so if you relied on unlocking via Ultrasnow then go ahead and download Ultrasnow 1.2.5 for unlocking iPhone on iOS 5.0.1.
Ultrasnow 1.2.5 is available right now from Cydia. It seems that Ultrasnow 1.2.5 has been released earlier then expected, as it was going to be released on Monday. This has something to do with the “infrastructure update” as mentioned by musclenerd of the iPhone Dev Team.
Musclenerd tweeted a couple of hours ago.
FYI we’re upgrading our infrastructure…full blog functionality and ultrasn0w repo will return as soon as it can. Sorry for hiccup!
Ultrasnow repo is back online again, so if you did not update to iOS 5.0.1 because you relied on unlocking via Ultrasnow then go ahead and update right now.
As mentioned in a previous post we would like to inform you again that this Ultrasnow 1.2.5 does not bring any new basebands for unlocking iPhone.
For iPhone 4 users the baseband that is supported is 01.59.00 while for iPhone 3GS users the basebands are 04.26.08 05.11.07 05.12.01 05.13.04 and 06.15.00.
Downloading Ultrasnow 1.2.5 will not unlock iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08, for those users you will have to wait a little longer until iPhone Dev Team cooks something up.
If you have one of the unlockable basebands are you going to unlock your iPhone via Ultrasnow 1.2.5?
