Dear Dev Teams We Need Unlock Solution For iPhone 4 Baseband 4.11.08

When are we finally going to get the unlock solution for iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08? A question that is on not just some users mind but thousands and if i’m not wrong maybe hundreds of thousands of people who are stuck on the unlockable baseband 4.11.08 on iPhone 4.

Now before i get to the point on why i’m writing this post, let me give you a little history of why there are so many people who are complaining about their iPhone.

It all started when Apple released iOS 5, the much anticipated firmware which brought 200 new features to Apple’s popular iOS firmware. In the eager of getting those features millions of people updated without thinking what would happen to their iPhone which was unlocked either by using Gevey Sim or Ultrasnow.

Those that relied on getting unlocked, got their iPhone 4 locked on a new baseband, 4.11.08.

Since than there has been no permanent solution for this iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08. There were options before in which you could downgrade to iOS 4.3.5 but Apple stopped signing it and there was no solution left.

That is where the dev teams come in.

iPhone Unlock 4.11.08

There are currently two very popular dev teams which are the iPhone Dev Team (who musclenerd is part of) and the Chronic Dev Team (includes posixninja).

The iPhone Dev team runs Ultrasnow the free unlocking software solution for iPhone, the same one which will unlock your iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08 in the future.

Now here is the point of my article. As the untethered jailbreak has been released a couple of days ago, both these dev teams were working on fixing bugs relating to jailbreak and this meant there was almost no time for working on an unlock solution for iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08.

Now is the time for getting the baseband 4.11.08 unlocked!

Maypalo’s Facebook fan page is full of people complaining that the dev teams are not working on the solution and just releasing jailbreaks which are not needed.

Now i should remind those users who are complaining about the dev teams, that these guys (developers) do this whole work for FREE! Yes folks, they do not get payed to make solutions for you which most of you have taken for granted now. It is completely free.

The iPhone Dev Team does not even accept donations!

Now we know there are thousands of users who are ready to donate to the dev teams for unlocking their iPhone 4 running iOS 5 with baseband 4.11.08, but that is not what they ask for.

Dear Dev Team

Most of you are already tired of waiting for so many months and want an unlock solution right now. So i think this post will speak for most of you.

I would ask both the dev teams and as well as other developers who can work on an unlock solution to get the iPhone 4 unlocked on baseband 4.11.08 as soon as possible.

You can help get the word out by simply sharing this post either on Facebook and twitter or any other platform you wish.

    i agree with you FARHAN in almost everything you say here,but i am one of the many thousand that say that the unlock of baseband 04.08.11 should have came first then the ios 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak, the iphone is above all a PHONE and i dont use mine cós it is locked in 04.08.11 baseband,all a say is that both dev teams should have worked in unlocking this baseband first and the untethered jailbreak after.

    Well Farhan, I couldn’t agree with you more. I am also very please to see a well known iPhone news site FINALLY say something about BB 04.11.08 because I have scourced the internet for information which never came to my result.

    Keep spreading the word and soon enough we will have the unlock that we have all been waiting for for an eternity!

    guys lets wait, and let the guys work without pressure, as the guy mentioned they do all the work for free, they did a great job on the jailbreak for the 5.0.1 it was fast i guess, and I’m sure they’re working on the unlocking issues, lets be patience soon will come up!!!

    Also agree! I’ve had enough of reading posts by people saying we need to throw away our phones because an unlock will never come. Same thing was said when the first generation Iphone came out, and look how far the dev team has gotten us so far. We only have them to rely on for the unlock, so let’s not piss them off by screaming (Cap Writing) at them, but rather showing a little gratitude and hope. :)

    I read on a blog that Gevey would be launching a new sim to unlock 04.11.08 on 2nd January 2012. Can anyone confirm this?

    There is a glitch in the baseband 04.11.08 because I somehow received an SMS in a locked network using a Gevey ultra – with my new 5.0.1 iPhone 4 jailbreaked. Hackers can exploit this bug.

    Im one of those who updated to 4.11.08 i believe dev team is now working on unthetered jailbreak for the A5 chip…so i believe they still are not working on an unlock soloution…

    Correct me if i an wrong …Pod 2g is the man for the A5 chip and therefore working on that exploit atm… He does not like sim unlock … Who will be working on sim unlock then?

    I have not used my phone in two days after noticing that I jailbroke my iphone 4 but it is unlocked because of the baseband 4.11.08. We need serious help here Ugh..

    it’s been too long, i really don’t think an unlock solution is coming period. I have accepted this and unfortunately everyone else should also. Not to put a downer on things. If you still have that hope of waiting then good on you. but i decided to find out where my locked phone originated from and sold it there (may be a bit harder for some to do)and now i have a new phone factory unlocked. lost money doing this but it took away all that fustration in waiting for a solution. For me personally it wasn’t worth waiting for. i hope for the sake of those still waiting that something happens, but waiting is all people will be doing

He says he does really care about us cause he has the unlock already so whats your point. look at his video at the bottom of his blog, HIS CARD HOLDER IS A MODIFIED ONE AND THE WATCH WHEN HES SHOWS IT, THE TMOBILE CARD DROPS AND U CAN SEE A MICRO CHIP IN HIS HAND BEFOR HE SWITCHES IT.I may not know much but i know “THATS FAKE”. He does want anybody to hassle him about a date cause it will make him not want to release it but he is telling to donate. If he brings out a unlock that works and want people to pay, he will make alot of money so cut the bullshit.

    I have being following up all on all possible posts for information to come up on Unlock of BB for more than a month now. I am sure many more have waited much more than me. But I have not given up hope, and I am sure 2012 will have a good start with the unlock news coming out soon enough. I wait for emails with bated breadth whenever I see an comment on MayPalo. Farhan you are the messiah, so if you can get any titbits out on how things are proceeding, we would be thrilled to know. Guys, do not give of hope just as yet, it is just 4 months and Dev team has already produced Jailbreaks, tethered followed by untethered, so surely and hopefully the unlock for our baseband would follow soon. Only thing is that they should understand that this is one of the things which many people has no other options, so hope they now take this up as a priority

    Well I jailbroke my iPhone 4 running IOS 5.0.1 BB 4.11.08 …but I’m gonna be patient and wait for a hopeful unlock solution…the only thing I’ve been waiting for is unlocking my iPhone to get unlocked…some people still have the nerve to say that the Dev Team has not done anything for us…well they have and they do it for free!!! So some people need to get their facts together or stop being dumbasses!!! And it’s impossible so far for anybody else to have their iPhone unlocked on 4.11.08 just to make myself clear…

    I bought a 20 dollar pay-per-minute phone, although I miss my data+iphone apps and so on..my phone is locked with the 11.08, maybe one day there will be an unlock code I’m sure, but I may just gonna save more money and get an android phone and say goodbye to Apple, it’s just not worth all the trouble and considering how expensive it is and my money gone down the drain along with AT&T’s expensive plans.

    I have great respect for the DEV TEAM, and yes I would definitely tell all to really chill out and let them do their work, without pressure, they are dong this for free and to help us all out…they are truly countrymen!! :)

    If people are so in need to getting their iPhones back, there are ways to get the iPhone 4 on a basic PAYG AT&T plan, jailbreak it (thanks to yet another guy that introduced an untethered jailbreak for our iPhone devices with A4 processors), and get PAYG data that is relatively affordable especially if you are a light/moderate data user.

    And yes, I know there are a lot of “AT&T SUCKS!” being chanted out there but hey, you want a working iPhone until an unlock solution comes Along Then try it!

    Works for me ;)

    Guys, I have great respect for all the DEV teams and the things they do for free, but don’t hold your breath for a soft BB unlock on A4
    There hasn’t been one since 1.59.X Nothing for 2.10, 3.10 or 4.10.
    Those only had Hard (gevey) BB unlocks.
    There was mention of a 40 bit ACK unlock as far back as August 2011, still nothing.
    They need to crash the BB before they can even attempt to code for an unlock, and there has not even been a mention about attempts to do so, let alone success in doing so.
    Best bet is a hardware unlock (GEVEY type) solution.
    Meanwhile enjoy your expensive IPHOND 4, like me.

    I was given my iPhone4 as a brick by a friend who is technically challenged. Just the dead phone no cables, nada. I bought a data cable and started to play on my p.c. with it. I ended up with ios5 and bs04.11.08. So far this is a fun toy, but I too am patiently waiting for an unlock. I’m sure there will be an unlock as soon as its ready, and not public till bugs are worked out. Hurray for all the people that are working to make this happen!!

    Can you imagine the moment when the 4.11.08 unlock is available? It will be pure joy. I applaud the Dev Team for all thier work and free at that. I wish they would take something for all thier efforts. My biggest worry and nightmare is that Apple will offer them a deal they can’t refuse to come work with them. The thought of that makes me want to throw up:)

    I think if those who waited for 5.0.1 4S JB donated $1 each, then dev_team would have made $1,000,000 in the first 3 days.
    So if that isnt any kind of stimulant to unlock 4.11.08 i dont know what is.
    If we go back to the old days of what warez/cracking is all about, then it sure has changed.
    Forever be greatful and patient for what the Dev_team and alike do for you. If you feel madd they might make 1,000,000 in donations then you can always educate yourself and be here when the next gen of software base electronics arrive.
    As for apple buying them out, how do you know they already dont work for apple? And if the unlock comes now before cleaning the house first then few might be scrubbing toilets for rest of life. So all be patient and have faith that It will be released when the coast is clear.
