Those of you who are currently waiting for an untethered jailbreak for A5 devices, which include the iPhone 4S iPad 2 should be very happy as top hackers of the jailbreaking community have joined forces to find exploits that will jailbreak these both iOS devices.
Pod2g just updated on his blog regarding an untethered jailbreak for A5 devices. He mentions that top hackers of the jailbreaking community have joined forces with him to “find a path for a public release of A5 jailbreak”
@planetbeing, the legendary hacker behind iPhone Linux and lot of jailbreaks has joined the A5 research!
The famous @MuscleNerd, the leader of the iPhone Dev Team, who did a lot of tests for Corona and whom integrated it and made it simple in redsn0w is willing to help also.
And last, but not least @p0sixninja, the leader of the Chronic Dev Team, and my partner for years on iPhone security research has started to code and fuzz the Apple sandbox.
We now have a dream team to find a path for a public release of the A5 jailbreak.
You might already be familiar with these hackers if you have been following the jailbreaking community for sometime. These include the musclenerd, posixninja and planetbeing.
It is only a matter of time before we get our hands on an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4s and iPad 2. We will keep you updated on this.

Who cares about jailbreak except for a very small amount of 4S and iPad2 users, the REAL need is unlock on 4.11.08. I know there has been talk about another Gevey around the Chinese New Year but why can’t we hear about a ‘Dream Team’ to unlock with ultrasn0w? If money wasn’t an issue then I just would buy a new unlocked 4S but money doesn’t grown on trees! And besides why buy a 4S when the ’5′ is set to be announced/released later this year!

I have iphone 4 4.11.08 At & T got bored of waiting so got 4s. But i am still waiting on 4.11.0.8 unlock to give the phone to the misses! She is a blackberry geek! She will convert!! I would prefere jb for 4s rather than sim unlock for a4 ! See what comes first !

Nice decision, however we did wish they will include the research about the unlock for 04.11.08 baseband. That will be the great release ever for all of us.

The thing is, currently the people with the 4s can actually make phone calls while the others stuck with 4.11.08 baseband can’t. Anyway I’m not counting on them figuring out anything anytime soon as there is no indication whatsoever that they are even going to do anything about it. It’s all just left for people to speculate or fall for some sorta scam.
