We have some mixed news regarding the unlock for iPhone 4 on iOS 5 baseband 4.11.08. The first promising unlock for iPhone which was called “reactor” has got some mixed reactions from many users and developers alike. It now seems that this software-based unlocking solution for the iPhone 4 seems sketchy.
Hamzah Akram the man behind this reactor unlock in multiple tweets confirmed that reactor has been completed and now he wants to send this “unlock information” to the main guy. That is Sherif Hashim.
In a previous post we mentioned that Sherif Hashim is going to work on unlocking the infamous baseband 4.11.08.
For those of you who do not know who Sherif Hashim is, well basically you can say he is one of the top hackers in the jailbreak community regarding making unlocks for iPhone. One of the main guys behind Ultrasnow, the free reliable unlock software for iPhone.
I’m going to send all information to Sherif Hashim about unlocking baseband 4.11.08 story! then wish you all unlock it!

Dear followers! I want to send my successful baseband 4.11.08 information to Sherif Hashim, so you can get it fast! Its done 100% Reactor.
Now this is where it starts to get interesting. According to Hamzah he is successfully completed the reactor unlock for iPhone baseband 4.11.08 but we still DO NOT have any proof of it working, no videos or pictures.
As many users flooded Sherif Hashim about whether this Hamzah is saying the truth or not.
I don’t know anything about that guy except that musclenerd added him to his fake list, which is enough for me!
As you can see from his reply, Sherif Hashim thinks the reactor unlock for iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08 is fake!
You might already be aware that the iPhone Dev team leader, musclenerd added Hamzah to his fake list which led to many users thinking that reactor is a fake unlock just like Crimson, another fake unlock which was proved by the iPhone Dev team.
We have reached out to Hamzah for comments but so far have not received any reply. We will let you know as soon as we get a reply.
So what are your thoughts on this, is Reactor just another fake or he might really be on something?
Currently we do not have any proof whether reactor works or not so we will go by the words of the iPhone Dev team and Sherif Hashim that Reactor is fake until proven otherwise.

Well if there’s no proof of the unlock I would say he’s fake. It ain’t that hard to make a video. He’s a very sad man if he is fake but I pray to god he ain’t
i think that crims0n and react0r is true..imo i believe in hearsay that mikey dude give his unfinished work to hamzah..the dev guys cannot accept the fact that outside of their circle was able to do it first..why they dont give this hamzah dude a chance?its also the main reason why hamzah asking sharif to test his file for courtesy purpose… its all about label..isnt evrybody deserves a chance to fly?
I tend to think the same,why this guys from dev team doesn’t want to accept any “outsiders”,or at least see what they on about,maybe someone has the right knowledge to do something right and be helpfull for all of us in the future.extra brain=stronger team.excuse my English but is not my native language .

MuscleNerd says he’s fake. Sherif believes him. All based on his old blog post about erasing the firmware. But didn’t Hamzah say that he was trying a different approach? I want to believe Hamzah, more out of hope than anything else. But again, Hamzah himself hasn’t provided any proof. This is insane man.

@hamzah_akram seems to unlock baseband 04.11.08 ,,but nobody wants help him for packaging or making it public . Musclenerd not given giving him achance to show his work .he just put him into his fake list.i think dis ego fights leading to no where .and 10000+ people just need to wait until sherif hasheemdo something to his unlock .
I sent hamzah a link for a tutorial for creating cydia packages and even uploading them.

I believe Dev Team doesn’t want anyone else other than them to take credit for unlocking 4.11.08 .. Fake or not, hamzah put a lot of effort into this, while you bunch of idiots whine and demand an unlock keep yapping and not helping. You freakin morons think so highly of yourselves then shutup and do an unlock of your own! Hamzah experimented on finding an unlock by even deleting a baseband 4.11.08, he was successfull on that but unfortunately, he does’nt have all the solution such as flashing a lower babaseband to replace the deleted 4.11.08 baseband. Also just settle the other side if the story, hamzah claimed reactor is already finish which is pretty darn strong statement, make proof of your claim, any proof will do, even if its an unfinished unlocked without cydia packaging. Oh and for dev & misclenerd, i haven’t seen any unlocks on your ends, what if i fuckin bad mouth you freakin twirps as fakers as well since all you guys can do is provide a statement “we are working on it…”

Ey guys…..got some good news…i mean BIG….
i accidentally upgraded my iphone 4 gsm to ios 5.0.1 with a baseband 4.11.08. . .i was so frustrated wen i read that i could not be unlock for the moment. . .i wasn’t able to use my iphone 4 for about 3wks. . .so i decided to downgrade but many said on the net it cant be…it’s true…so i thought maybe interrupting while restoring it…so i did. . .then, a logo/picture of itunes with USB appeared on the screen.. . .then, i restored it back to ios 5.0.1 with BB 4.11.08 (w/c is not unlockable and cannot be downgraded) using itunes, d latest, then restored with a back-up of my iphone which was from Jan. 27th, 2012. . .so i waited to finish the restore. . .i went to the vet coz my dogs have to be dewormed and vaccinized. . .wen i returned home, WALLA!!! my iphone is UNLOCKED i mean…Unlocked. . .im sooo happy i can use my iphone again. . .im just sharing my way of unlocking this 4.11.08 BB. . .
