We were expecting this and it seems we are going to get it. Apple might in fact use Gorilla Glass 2 for its next generation iPhone, the iPhone 5.

Gorilla Glass 2 which was revealed at CES earlier this year showed that it was about as much as 20 percent stronger/slimmer/ lighter than its previous version Gorilla Glass 1.

Now it is expected that Apple might get the Gorilla Glass 2 for its next iPhone that is the iPhone 5. According to a new page created today by Apple regarding job creation, it might have accidentally leaked some information regarding its relationship with Corning, the company that makes Gorilla Glass.

For example, this figure also includes workers in Texas who manufacture processors for iOS products, Corning employees in Kentucky and New York who create the majority of the glass for iPhone, and FedEx and UPS employees.

Previously the relationship between these two companies remained a mystery, it wasn’t even included in the supplier lists which Apple published a couple of weeks ago.

Corning makes one of the best device glasses in the world so no wonder we are going to see iPhone 5 with a Gorilla Glass 2.
