Another day and another news regarding the unlock scene for the iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08. The promising hardware based unlock for iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08, R-SIM 4, has been delayed by another week according to the developers currently working on it.
Maypalo first reported on R-SIM IV to unlock iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08 back in late March and at that time a time frame of 10 days was given. When the 10 days crossed we got another update mentioning it had been delayed but the unlock was 50 percent completed. And, now today we have been updated again regarding a release date for iPhone 4 unlock on iOS 5+.
The news is not that good as it has been delayed by another week.

Sorry for the delay, this task is more compliated than expected, but please give 7 days more.
We are reaching the goal.
They have given a new deadline and that is another week. Seven more days for an unlocking solution to the infamous baseband, that doesn’t sound bad, right? Well if R-SIM developers can deliver it within the timeline they have given us, it will definitely be amazing. But just like Gevey SIM they have started giving false hope which seems unrealistic.
Now it surely does not mean we won’t get the unlock for 4.11.08, we definitely will but it seems it is going to take longer then we expect it.
Which one do you think will release the unlock for iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08, Applenberry or R-SIM? Comment to let us know.

I wonder if getting unlock my iphone with AT & T, I will need to use this type of hardwaer on my phone…? Somebdy please can answer this question ..:)?
tomaz the problem is that there are many ppl out there who got this apple shity phone locked to other networks … i have one here locked to a mexican network !!!
when i tried to talk to them about the unlock the guy there forgot english language ! lol he was all the way spanish until i leaft.
so yes there are still ppl who would be stuck after the at&t solution
@ TOMAZ no you won’t need this because the unlock att is giving you is a permanent unlock even when they bring out a new firm ware or ios..
Boa-noite, pessoal. Louvável o que o pessoal da R-Sim está fazendo. Entretanto, sugiro que quem tenha o iphone AT&T preso na bb 04.11.08 entre em contato com a AT&T, pelo telefone já informado em outro post. Tendo em vista que resido no Brasil fiz a ligação via skype (tem que ter créditos, embora seja um telefone gratuito da AT&T) que não foi tarifada. Após uns 4 dias recebi um e-mail informando que meu iphone4 é elegível para desbloqueio. Fiz o procedimento com o itunes e hoje meu telefone está atualizado e funcionando com uma operadora brasileira. Abraços a todos e boa sorte.

If you guys aren’t sure for the unlock, then don’t announce it until you can confirmed it is working 100% and ready for production and pre-orders.
Because it is like announcing for bidding purposes. Remember we’re not asking that tool for free..
We are tired also hearing the same phrase “HARD TO UNLOCK”, well it is been said ALMOST a year already, yet until now you are using it as an excuse for the this kind of delay.
Well after this long patience in suffering, begging for the DevTeam to give us a solution also, After we woke up behind the nightmares of which Apple created. I am planning already to move on and start turning my back from Apple. It is not now about getting sexy because you have their devices but should be also having a good experience in terms of consumer’s satisfaction being guaranteed to all of us.
need to get it as soon as possible
to use our expensive ipods as iphones

A lesson learned guys, not to buy and support iphone any more, andtoids are not as complicated as iphones you can just google for cracked apps. No need to jailbreak and unlocks are as easy as shit. It may not as advance as it is but not as assholes like apple, just think, have and expensive ipod or have an actual phone? Lets make apple feel that we are the consumers not their product slaves.
I think what will happen here is that, all the iPhone 4 will circulate around the world . And all previous owners will buy a new phone ( hopefully not iphone) and iPhone stocks will continue to drop down. Just read an article from unlock boot that iphone 3gs exploded after upgrading it to ios 5.1, not apple got a new technique for them to dispose 3gs and buy iphone 4s or iphone 5, just like what they did to 4.11.08. I definately not gonna support iphone anymore
I dont think either applenberry or r-sim will release it.
There is a few old school unlock coders, which i suggest will take the glory for this.
It could be because of the ungreatfullness, or legal issues, and those known now will not be the ones to unlock this.
If muscle/sherif have anything to do with it then you can bet it wont be released under or as Ultrasn0w either.
Its the biggest load of bs ive ever seen this unlock and teams working on it but no one blame Apple, its your fault not apples.
And if you want to use poxy android apps then go ahead, spend 400-600 on the latest Android phone, realise its shit and buy an iphone 5 for 800, wasting 600.
Its your decision, its not anyones problem but yours, so save yourself the heartache and sell/trade your 4.11.08 phone for another iphone if it gets to u that much.
Or better yet, buy some ios hacker books and learn how to unlock the baseband yourself. After all you might just make millions:-)
So what’s the point announcing that they will release an unlock?
Haven’t you guys realized it is more likely a bidding to Apple, that if someone cracked the 04.11.08 baseband then Apple will buy it so there will be no unlock will come or preserved the release date on a given time frame so they can push more sales?
If 04.11.08 is FU**** hard to unlock, which even the FAMOUS baseband “Hacker” Sherif Hashim got a “ROADBLOCK”. After even ApplenBerry said before that they were already on the “Testing Stage” but NOW declined that their developers haven’t yet found any solutions for the 04.11.08. After hearing the news from RSIM also that they will going to release their unlock for 04.11.08 within 10 days, BUT again got delayed for some reason they can’t explain and giving a progress about only 50% completed, doesn’t it sounds strange? That someone is likely manipulating behind the scene? Am I making all things clear enough?
I am still wondering why Apple decided to have it an update on 5.1 with 04.12.01 baseband? If its really true that there are no possible hole/exploits on that firmware, then why they need to have an update? Which you can see also, the numbering details from 04.11.08 are pretty close to 04.12.01 which are likely a numbering for patching some exploits.
Let’s STOP waiting for 04.11.08 unlock to come if they can’t give an unlock for that. They don’t need to give false hope for these people who wishes also for this unlock.If they can’t find solution for 04.11.08 why they still need to keep their selves busy unlocking 04.11.08 if there’s already an alternative way waiting in 04.12.01?
AT&T started unlocking Off-Contract iPhones. That’s a good move! I just can’t see the main reason having your iPhone left locked after finishing the contract. Knowing after you finished the contract, you paid also for the same price of a FACTORY UNLOCK iPhones. Subsidized? LOL! There’s no word “FREE” in terms of BUSINESS.

I dont think people are as pissed off with Apple as they are with the ‘unlockers’ though.
The fact is this is always going to be an April fools joke from all the previous groups, and only those teams still with the ‘black hat’ mentality will ever release anything.
You could resell or wait in hope that more groups merge to iOS, (they wont though because its already inlocked, just not released) but until then everyone should just forget about an unlock coming from Ultrasn0w / R-Sim or Applenberry. It simply will never ever happen. Period.

You know what? I think that at&t are unlocking all iphone phones, why? Because i called them earlier and tell them that my phone is from at&t without them knowing that its from bell canada. They told me to wait for a confirmation which i have now telling me the process to unlock my phone. Apple is tied up to at&t guys any carrier. So we dont need this shit ass r-sim. And ill never support dev team coz they are the malers of it. Dont ever jailbreak ur phone coz u might lose ur unlock

If there’s a legit source for unlocking, the whole world will talk about it. It will be posted most on all known blog site. So if you haven’t heard any GOOD feedback from that unlocking site, then probably they’re just another “scammer”. So better save yourself and money from this.

Ios 5.0.1 baseband 4.11.8 and only cost me only $30.00 usdollars both phones
Are now factory unlocked, me and my partner are using the carrier 2degrees in new zealand
Cost me $37.00 nz dollars each phone to unlock, this is far the cheapest factory unlock i’ve seen yet
And only waited 5 days for their email to let me know just to plug into iTunes, it was so simple
