So we finally have the unlock solution to the infamous baseband 4.11.08 provided by a Chinese hacker named Loktar_Sun. As Maypalo has posted so many news and unlock guides for iPhone 4/4S users, it has got a bit hard for those new users who have just found out about the unlock. So I have pretty much compiled all of these guides in one post so it becomes easier for you to get your iPhone 4 baseband 4.11.08 unlocked. Read ahead!
First of all lets begin with the unlock guide. The unlock guide we posted on Maypalo proved successful to about 90% of all iPhone 4/4S users who tried to unlock in the first go. As we have already written the complete how-to guide for unlocking there is no need to write the entire method again. Simply follow the link below to unlock your iPhone 4/4S.

How do I get push notification when unlocked via SAM?
I am in the Netherlands (Vodafone NL) and my iPhone is from Sweden (Tele2).
I’ve tried some tuts that I found but nothing seems to work.
Also FaceTime and iMessage don’t work.

I’ve tried this method and at first my facetime and imessage wasn’t working either but then I updated to ios 5.1 whilst preserving baseband 4.11.08 and then everything started working. Thing is u’ll have to jailbreak again but I think that’s fine so long as everything works.

This helped me to do it properly. I wasn’t gonna update but since one of the troubleshooting tips for facetime said to update, I thought I’d try it whilst preserving baseband. (Lets face it, an iPhone is crap without facetime, imessages and the rest) Also some have said that this unlock method does work on 4.12 so even if you fail to preserve the baseband, you should be able to unlock your phone again via SAM.
I updated to 5.1 and got imessage working. Push notifications dont work though.
Everything seems to have worked for me. Its been 3 days and its working fine. Check your settings or as a last resort, jailbreak and follow the instructions given to get push notifications working.
Do you have a solution for an Iphone 4 8gb. CDMA (SPRINT). (no sim card slot).

Thank you so much Maypalo! I’ve been patiently following your site for 4 months now with regard to this 4.11.08 baseband. What I can say to loctar_SUN? This person is so GENIUS. SAM unlocking solution is AWESOME and GREAT. My iphone 4 v5.01 with bb 4.11.08 was unlocked after two tries following the guide/tutorials. Now, I can use the phone features of my phone. Thanks again Maypalo & loctar_SUN. I am from the Philippines and my carrier is Globe.

You dont need Original Sim, You just need to know Original Carrier.
Works on Hacktivated iphone without Original SIM.
Follow the “5″ Steps above. And report back with your success..

I install the repo and downloaded SAM, when i hit respring it took like 5 minutes, then my iphone restarted and got stuck with the apple logo. Now it wont turn on. HELP PLEASE!!!

Ive managed to unlock my Iphone but when making/receiving calls the tone remains mute. I cannot hear the other party and vice versa nor the ringing during a call.

I’m from the Phils. too, I think SUN carrier is not supported by sam. I unlocked my iphone 4 from japan-softbank carrier and i have globe simcard, and i also did a backup for my sam unlock ticket. But now even if you are successful with sam method, your carrier will still show: NO SERVICE, unless you did a backup for your sam unlock ticket before and do a restore method.

After I do this SAM n my iPhone 4 5.0.1 JB and save my tickets, can I upgrade regular through iTunes and still be unlocked or do I have to JB again to get my tickets?
I successfully unlock my iPhone 4, 5.0.1, BB 04.11.08 via SAM method. However I experiencing some issues with the unlock, for instance when I try to make a phone call, the person I’m calling receives and “Unknown” as number or sometimes a “Block” message, thus everyone I called received an “Unknown” number because I tried calling a variaty of people and they all told me the same thing. You have to put in Carrier / Country / The SIM details the phone is locked to.
If your phone is locked to “AAA” and you want to unlock to “BBB” then you enter the “AAA” details into SAM Country/Carrier/SIM ID.
If you unsuccessful, Do the steps again:
Just make sure you DISABLE SAM after putting in the Original Country/Carrier/Sim ID that its locked on.

carlos, that means SAM couldn’t load for some reason, reinstall the SAM and follow the steps
It’s a chaaarrrrm!!! unlocked iphone 4 locked to ATnT n been able to use SMART phil. After a day, I installed a cfw 5.1 and it automatically unlocked my phone after restoring. no need to do the SAM unlocking process again. i’ll jailbreak when an untethered jb comes…

What if you don’t know the carrier it was locked to?? It just says CARRIER LABS 12.0 in my phone’s settings… I’m positive this is the hang up I’m having.

I tried to Install SAM successfully, but the problem is the sounds in my iphone4 went out(games, keys,) Already turned on/off, checked the volumes and switch, But still no sounds. Please advise.
Since SAM created by SBINGER, the first unlock using SAM was first created by Hamzah_Akram but he didn’t explain it well (maybe he forget to add the iTunes activation trick in his procedure). That’s why more people call him fake specially the apple puppet namely sherif_hashim and musclenerd. They always want the spotlight on them. After a long month of developing (I don’t think so), they are always promising (applenberry, sherif_hashim and musclenerd) these unlock even if they already know these unlock. They only want to create more money out of this promise. Since RSIM officially created these unlock with IPhone 4S and created a BB 4.11.08, the battle become competitive. Unfortunately this unlocks/method was already known by this hacker (really?).When Loktar_Sun realize the correct step by step procedure (using Hamzah_Akram method of SAM), this good Chinese man are willing to share the idea created. Since this man is not related to the Apple puppets (you know who), he release these unlock to the public. Since millions of people agree that this is real. After a day, applenberry announced that unlock is now available. Sorry, we would rather choose a free unlock instead of paying a chip with the same result (do you agree with me). The Apple puppets also make their step by creating an additional info by upgrading the redsn0w by saving the bb ticket activation in order to put them in the spotlight. That’s the real hacker make. STEALING right? Stealing the SPOTLIGHT from other. The point here is to thank the right person. First to thank is SBINGER. Without SAM there is no unlocking right? Unlock become possible when Hamzah_Akram(who steal helping to create an AT&T unlock with his follower even if his SAM unlock is not acknowledge by Apple Puppets) created the SAM unlock procedure were few people become successful without realizing that these unlock was created after using Hamzah_Akram method and buy plugging their Idevice in iTunes. And finally Loktar_Sun who make the complicated things become easier (this is the current unlock). Don’t be surprised when ultrasn0w will be release in a few days

i was using GEVY before and activated my iphone on it to use facetime and imessages and push when i used SAM everything then is fine
so i think u should activate ur iphone properly and be sure its push and facetime are working fine then use SAM to activate it without GEVY

Hi! I do have iphone 4 ios 5.1 firmware 4.12.01 that already JB 5.1 tethered. This is originally bundled with Orange UK. I tried to unlock it using SAM but still showing “NO SERVICE”. But the SAM shows its ActivationState is now “WildcardActivated”. My IMEI is not blacklisted..Am from the Philippines trying to unlock to Globe sim. Can anyone help me abt this.
