iPhone Dev Team released a redsnow version giving users the ability to downgrade baseband 6.15.00 last month, but unfortunately some users could not downgrade their iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS due to some problems. Well folks today the developers at iPhone Dev Team have released redsnow 0.9.14b2 giving the users the ability to downgrade baseband 6.15.00 for those who could not previously downgrade their iPad baseband.
Fix Errors While Downgrading Baseband 6.15.00

This version covers 3 different types of NOR chips in the iPhone 3G and 3GS (the earlier version covered only the most prevalent NOR chip). We’ve also simplified the process and added logging to help diagnose any remaining stubborn iPhones.
The revised steps are:
- Connect your iPhone in normal mode, then click “Jailbreak” after redsn0w identifies its model and BB version (you needn’t pre-select the IPSW anymore).
- Choose the “Downgrade from iPad baseband” option (you needn’t worry about de-selecting Cydia anymore).
- Do a controlled “slide to power off” shutdown of your phone and proceed through the normal DFU ramdisk steps.
Should the downgrade fail to take, feel free to leave the redsn0w log in the comments below. Use the “Extras->Even more->Backup” button to grab a copy of /var/mobile/Media/redsn0w_logs, then extract the log text file(s) from the zip and paste them into the comments (currently that log file is generated only during baseband downgrade runs).

Hey, I’ve been trying for about a month to jailbreak &unlock my iPhone..
In my most recent attempt I successfully jailbroke my 3GS, but instead of downgrading the BB, it upgraded it. I decided to unlock it anyway, with the intention of figuring out how to downgrade the BB later, but it wouldn’t unlock, even with my installation of ultrasn0w fixer for 5.1.1.
So thenn, I tried unsuccessfully to jailbreak it with the recent update of redsn0w.. it didn’t jailbreak& remained unactivated. However, I didn’t initially realize that it was unactivated so I synced it from my backed up iPhone data with the result of only the name of my iPhone being changed to its previous one… all of my music, apps, etc. wasn’t on there. After this I tried jailbreaking it again with redsn0w 0.9.14b2 with still no success.
Any ideas as to why this is happening& how I can fix it ?

i use iphone 4s, i installed sam and the phone rebooted only to start telling me to activate my sims and i,m in nigeria. so i went in search and started reading about different materials online.. now i,m a beter iphone hacker than i was before, i can by pass activation screen and have been able to downgrade from ios 5.1.1 to ios 5.0.1 , but have not been able to unlock or jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.14b2…error 127 cant load mobile device, if i by pass and go select my ipsw then click jailbreak…i get error that red snow has stop working ..windows will look for solution….

My iPhone 3gs would always show “Downgrade baseband failed”.
neither b1 nor b2 work for me…
I cannot send log file because even this isnt working
Fixed by trying it on another computer
he guys. i just now downgradged my iphone 3gs 6.15 to 5.13 on 5.0.1
its verys simple. just uninstall ultrasnow before starting the process. initially i got errors but afther the above prosess it was downgraded. best of luck
