Whether you like it or not, Siri has taken the world by storm. When it was first introduced people were simply amazed by its intelligence as it could do things no other smartphone could match. Well it seems BlackBerry is following that path too with its up coming BlackBerry 10 OS.
RIM (Research In Motion) the parent company of BlackBerry is failing, people are discussing whether to sell it or not, but some people still have hope that it can rise once again like it once did and to help it rise BlackBerry 10 will help.
BlackBerry 10 is the up-coming OS from RIM that will put some life back into the faltering company and to help it do that it will need a killer OS much like iOS, Android and Windows.
According to BlackBerry 10 developer alpha, BlackBerry will introduce a voice command feature much like Apple’s Siri. This voice feature will do most of the things that current smartphone voice features do such as calculating route to a specific destination or searching for a particular topic and many more.
Check out the video below to get an idea for yourself on how BlackBerry 10′s voice feature will be like.
As you can see from the video it does do pretty much what we can expect it to do at an alpha stage. Although it is too early to determine what the final piece will be like (remember alpha becomes before betas so its quite sometime before the final version comes out.)
It seems that each company (Google on Jelly Bean, Samsung with S-Voice) are looking to compete with Apple’ Siri although to some extent Google has outdone Apple.
Well whenever BlackBerry 10 comes out we will see for ourself what have they been cooking all this time.
