The most hotly anticipated smartphone of the year, iPhone 5, is expected to be launched somewhere between September and October, and even though we do not know much about the next generation iPhone from Apple, case makers have started production of cases for the iPhone 5 in the hope of making big bucks.

As you can see from the pictures the case for iPhone 5 looks amazing but what it does is that it confirms some basic rumours we have been hearing all this time and those are relating to the screen size, and the dock connector for the iPhone 5.

Many reports have been pointing to the next iteration of the iPhone having a 4 inch screen size and from the pictures this is the first thing that becomes obvious. Case makers are making cases for an iPhone that has a screen size of 4 inches, confirming many previous rumours.

The next thing we can see is that a 19-pin dock connector for the iPhone 5 exists in these cases, which was previously confirmed by Reuters. The iPhone head jack has been relocated too to the lower right hand side from the top left hand side presented on the current iPhone models.

Although these cases point to a 4″ screen and 19-pin dock connector, we should keep in mind that these case makers make these cases based solely on rumours and leaks. So it doesn’t actually confirm it until we get a real leak from Apple itself.

Last year case makers betted on a larger screen and when the iPhone 4S was launched with the same design as the previous iPhone 4 model they lost a quite a lot of money, hopefully this time, these rumours turn out to be true.
