The Apple products we currently use are simply amazing, the design, the user interface, the overall look, it just looks downright beautiful but the stage Apple’s iPhone and iPad are at today wouldn’t have been without early prototypes. The prototypes are like the “test products” of every company and we now have got some pictures of early prototypes of both iPhone and the iPad. Take a look at these pictures and see the early prototypes Apple created for the iPhone and iPad.
Early iPhone Prototypes
These early prototypes of iPhone and iPad comes in courtesy from TheVerge which obtained these pictures from the Apple vs Samsung court case which as you would know have brought out some pretty interesting stuff from both sides of the court room.
As you can see from the pictures of the prototype of the iPhone, it does look like a cross of Lumia 900 with an HTC Evo. Well whatever might be the case we know what Apple had been planning for us with the iPhone.
Check out more pictures of the leaked prototypes for the iPhone.
Early iPad Prototypes
As you can see from the picture of the early iPad prototype, it does not look very Apple-y, no wonder Apple dropped this design for the one which is used in the current iPad’s.
The pictures show “iPod” written on the backside of it, maybe Apple was planning of revamping the iPod in favour of a “giant iPod” and is that a stylus holder we see at the back? Steve Jobs was strictly against that for sure.
One interesting thing is that Apple even thought of a kickstand for the iPad, like the Microsoft surface but with a single rod.
So folks there you go those were some of the prototypes for the iPhone and iPad which Apple was thinking to implement but instead went for the current ones.
Every company before launching a product to the final consumers makes many prototypes so therefore they can perfect the design, the features and many other things that makes what a product is today.
When you compare the early iPhone prototypes to the current models of Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson you can see that they look quite similar. No wonder Apple is suing so many companies at one time.
Well what do you think about these early iPhone and iPad prototypes?
