At last Google Fiber arrived Kansas City, bringing with itself the fastest broadband ever. This 100 times faster broadband service offers 1,000 Mbps download and upload speeds, and takes your surfing experience to a highly advanced level. Google termed the growth in processing power and storage to internet speed as quite inconsistent, but also shows its believe that fiber is going to be remarkable and up to the expectation, by putting data access speed up to same exponential growth curve. It particularly mentioned that Gigabit is just the first step, there are much more ahead.
Google Fiber even comes with 1TB of cloud storage through Google Drive. But one thing has to be kept in mind that its just not internet as through this you can get a new TV experience, like never before. With Bluetooth and search interface, it looks quite similar to Google TV, but with a simpler design. Furthermore, Google Fiber TV also includes a quick and powerful search, with up to 500 hours HD showsrecording. Google is even going for voice search by making a remote app for Android and iOS.
As per Google, it will turn your TV into a WiFi hotspot for accessing WiFi. An identical-looking “Storage Box” wil have 2TB of storage that will act as the DVR for all devices in the house and each TV needs a small TV box to interface. You can even get to Netflix and YouTube through it. In every TV package, a Google Nexus 7 Tablet is included without any charge, that works as the remote for the TV.
The cost for installation of this system to your house is $300. After that, you have a choice between two packages. The first package for $120 per month, includes the “Gigabit + TV” package with 1TB of storage, internet, and all channels in a single bundle. It will include major broadcast networks, numerous “fiber channels,” and on-demand movies and shows. Premium movie channels will still be an additional monthly fee. While the other package, for $70 includes the internet and the 1TB of cloud storage on Google Drive. For a limited time, average broadband speed will also be offered by Google for free.
As per the grass root support and after going through complex system, Google is going to introduce this new system to various residencies of Kansas City.
