For the coming MacBooks, LaCie announces something amazing and that is the re-engineered RuggedKey, a IP-54  USB 3.0 key, providing speeds up to 150MB/s. The product, in additional, gives the protection against heat, dust and water. This new USB key can even resist a 100-meter drops. LaCie also brought it to the knowledge of the poeple that it has updated the entire portfolio of its USB 3.0 to include 2^nd generation USB 3.0 products and in order to make them even more efficient for the coming MacBooks.Through this the company is now been able to deliver the widest range of USB 3.0 storage peripherals on the market.The next generation USB 3.0 products are available now in Apple retail. LaCie said it has re-engineered its USB 3.0 products specifically for Lion and Mountain Lion by taking advantage of USB Attached SCSI Protocol support in Ivy Bridge Macs:
