Apple and Samsung are standing against each other in the an official fight, which is the center of attention of all the tech sites. One after the other, news reports are hitting the sites, and people are getting even more fascinated day by day. Apparently, there are only two companies competing and fighting against each other in this trial; Apple and Samsung but the reality is quite different, as a third party is also involved in the case, from behind the screen. Want to know who is whispering behind the curtains than read further.
VS.
In this one on one fight, Samsung is being secretly supported by a big source, Google. Yes it is the Google, which visibly shows no special interest in this biggest trial and stays calm, but the really has a tiny twist in it. By supporting Samsung for legal strategies, providing advice, doing extra legwork, and searching for prior evidence, Google is fully on its favor. There might be a huge interest of the company, that it is supporting Samsung against Apple. But Google is still not directly attacking Apple. As Neil Shah, an analyst at Strategy Analytics said,
Google will want to stay away from this trial as much as possible. They don’t want to directly confront Apple.
Apple’s iPhone 4S is enjoying tremendous success throughout the globe but due to this trial the company might face some uncertainties, which is giving a lavishing chance to other companies to enter to this race. In this chaos Android has achieved a rise in its demand in the market, bringing Google more closer to people. Furthermore, Android phones represented more than half of the smartphone market, compared with the one-third share for Apple, according to market research firm ComScore. Thus this can be considered as a major reason for Google’s support for Samsung.
Another vivid connection between the two companies is Quinn Emanuel. In numerous patent and copyright cases, Quinn Emanuel has represented Google and now is also conducting Samsung’s case against Apple. It has also presented HTC and Motorola, two of Google’s Android partners, in patent litigation brought against them by Apple. This too shows a connection between Samsung and Apple.
Few more weeks are left for the results and than the biggest trial in tech’s world will come to an end, bringing some unexpected or expected results. For more news about this trial stay with us.
