About each and every component of iPhone 5, there are numerous leaks and rumors. But the most highlighted one among all is the 4” long screen of the next iPhone, which will be able to display apps with amazing quality and also another extra bar of icons on the screen. This is not only a rumor but also a need, that many people are thinking to be fulfilled by Apple, this year.

Now if we look towards the reasons that why the next iPhone should have a longer screen then we find two very important ones.

First one is the for HD videos, as longer screen means less letterboxing, both for self-recorded videos and most TV shows and movies. The aspect ratio of iPhone 4S doesn’t fall into the laptop-standard 16:9 category, nor does it matches the 4:3 aspect ratio of the iPad. Video, however – especially HD video – works well with a 16:9 screen. The rumored screen of the next iPhone would be 16:9, which is, therefore going to be ideal for these videos.

In the ratio of 16:9 more of the screen is consumed to show a large clear video. Many Android phones are using this ratio and are having no or very less letterboxing, as compared to the recent iPhone 4S.

Now the second reason is also an important one, which is related to games on iPhone. iOS is becoming one of the greatest gaming platform but the design of the current iPhone not really supports this feature of the smart phone. The games that are mostly played on iPhone are button free free, as those games for which physical button are needed we need extra accessories to be attached with the iPhone, as one shown below.

But if Apple introduces a longer screen than you wont be needing all these extra stuff for playing games. This is because on larger screen you can be provided with bars on the each side of phone, while playing the game. These bars will have the buttons for operating the game, hence making it easier for use to play and enjoy the game.

Moreover, large screen adds another amazing thing on your phone, through which you will find your iPhone much more improved. This is the addition of another icon bar to your homescreen due to you have to no more shuffle the pages to find the the icons you are looking for. In vertical portrait mode, it could mean more than just another row of apps; it could lead to an added row of controls on the bottom, possibly adding a whole new dimension to operational ease on the next iPhone.
