We have been simply barraged by the rumours regarding the next gen iPhone, next gen iPad (iPad mini) and some rumours regarding Apple TV too. Well we now have some high resolution pictures of the dock connectors of the iPad Mini and the iPhone 5 or the new iPhone whichever one you prefer calling.

The high resolution images of iPhone 5 and the iPad mini have been posted by iResq, a repair company. They mention they had these leaked dock parts of the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini for quite sometime and finally decided to publish them. Seems like everyone is doing the same thing these days.

As you can see from both pictures of the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini, the dock connectors show 8-pins instead of the 19 or the 9 pin we have been hearing all this time. Maybe those previous rumours regarding an 8-pin finally seem to be coming true.

It is expected (almost confirmed?) that Apple is ditching it’s 9 year old technology, that is the 30-pin dock connectors for smaller and sturdy 8-pin connectors.

Well lets just wait and find out if we are finally going to get the 8-pin dock connector which has been creating a lot of hype recently.
