The report which comes from DigiTimes, which has a history of producing fairly accurate details, mention that Apple has ramped up production of the iPad mini and is expected to be unveiled in October this year.
The monthly volume of the iPad minis are in hundreds of thousands but by September, the production will go to as high as 4 million iPad minis being produced in a month alone.
The iPad mini which is expected to pack a 7.85 inches will have a thinner frame and and a screen resolution of the iPad 2.
Apple will launch its 7.85-inch iPad in October with a thinner screen frame to allow the device to feature a bigger display area than other competing products and will also feature a resolution similar to that of iPad 2.
iPad mini which is believed to be by many as a response to Google’s Nexus 7 and Amazon’s Kindle fire is also what you might call it as the cheaper version of the iPad.
The price of the iPad mini is expected to be the same as those of Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire which is $199. But according to some sources even if Apple sells the iPad mini at $299 it will give the smaller its competitors a hard time.
