IPhone 4S is a bit sleeker than Lumia 920, that is 9.3mm. Also the phone is having a LED-backlit IPS TFT, a capacitive touchscreen and16M colors. While the pixel density of the phone is 330 ppi. The iPhone 4S weighs only 140g, which is a bit heavier than the Samsung’s smart phone but its features make its weight less important. This phone is available in two basic colors; black and white.
Comparison between the Operating Systems of the two Smart Phones:
Now if we compare the operating systems of the two smartphones then, we find out that the operating system of Windows phone is the most updated one. The best feature of the Windows phone is the” live tiles” which is a completely new attribute to the smartphone industry. These tiles are of various sizes and show you all your activities on the home screen of the phone. This keeps you fully updated about every new thing that is coming in your technical life. You can even resize these tiles as per your requirements. But with that Lumia 920 is also having some software of Nokia as well and one such amazing feature is the Nokia Maps and this app will also be included an augmented reality feature called City Lens. The other app is the Nokia’s Drive app that will provide turn-by-turn directions with fully-offline maps.
On contrary iOS also has some amazing features like the notification centre that keeps a track of all your alerts and messages and keeps updating. You can even see a stock ticker and the current weather there. New notifications appear briefly at the top of your screen, without interrupting what you’re doing. The next amazing feature is the iMessages, through which you can share your text, photos and videos with your friends anytime for free! iOS also gives you the option to set reminder for your ease. But the best part is the Siri-app, that talks to you and works according to your instructions.
Cameras Of The Phones:
iPhone 4S camera is having amazing features, as it has an 8 MP, 3264×2448 pixels, that is auto-focussed and also loaded with LED flash. iPhone 4S also has the front camera for face detection and also, it has the option of video stabilization, where as Lumia 920 has the 8.7 MP camera, with 3264 x 2448 pixels resolution and auto-focussed that is similar to iPhone 4S. In a recent comparison between the two cameras Lumia 920 seem to be much more ahead than iPhone 4S. The sample is shown below.
Memory And Battery Of The Phones:
Lumia 920 has an Internal memory of 1000 MB, with the Mass memory of 32GB and 7GB in SkyDrive, where as iPhone 4S has a wider range from 16 – 32 to even 64 GB storage but is having the RAM storage of only 512 MB.
Nokia Lumia 920 has the battery with BP-4GW model and it is having the battery capacity of 2000 mAh. Furthermore it offers 400h of maximum 2G standby time and 7h of maximum 2G talk time. With that Lumia has an amazing charging system that needs no cable, but just a mat to keep the phone on it and it starts charging. While the iPhone 4S has total of Li-Po 1432 mAh long battery life, and it concludes that iPhone 4S seems more loaded in terms of battery options, as it provides up to 200 h (2G) / up to 200 h (3G) standby and around 14 h (2G) / 8 h (3G) talk time battery, which is quite long lasting.
Hardware Of The Phones
Now hardware is the real stuff that gives the smartphone a kind of a look of power, So starting with the comparison between the two processors of the phones being discussed, the Lumia 920 has a Dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor of 1.5 GHz, while the iPhone 4S is little behind with a processor of Dual-core Cortex-A9 of only 1 GHz. The windows phone also has the option of NFC hardware for its users, but iPhone 4S is deprived of this incredible feature. Furthermore the side keys available on the Windows phone are the Windows Start key, Camera, Power, Volume, Search and Back. Whereas if we have a look on the keys on iPhone 4S than they are a bit different, as they include the volume keys, mute key and a camera key.
