Apple finally launched the iPhone 5 bringing the tons of rumours to a standstill. Well as you might already know Apple has started pre-orders for the iPhone 5 today but the thing most of you might be interested is the price of an unlocked iPhone 5. Well check out the details below.

Apple today unveiled the prices of unlocked iPhone 5. An unlocked iPhone 5 will set you back $649 for a 16GB version, and that price is for an unlocked iPhone in U.S which is currently not available. That’s right if you want to buy an unlocked iPhone in U.S you are out of luck as currently Apple is not offering any unlocked iPhone 5′s in U.S.

So no unlocked iPhone for people in U.S. But do not worry as Apple is soon going to offer unlocked iPhone 5′s starting in a couple of weeks, once they are available unlocked iPhone 5′s will cost $649, $749, $849 for 16GB, 32GB and 64 GB respectively.

Although unlocked iPhone 5′s are currently not available in U.S but they are in other countries where they are being launched, such as the United Kingdom and Canada where the price of an unlocked iPhone 5 16GB version will cost you £529 (pounds), $699 (Canadian dollars) respectively.
