Apple has finally launched iOS 6 to the general public bringing over 200 new amazing features to the already packed features available in iOS 5. Well if you were looking for amazing new features to your iPhone, iPad or the iPod touch, iOS 6 is available for you to download right now.

Apple has just released iOS 6, those of you who are looking to download iOS 6 can do so by connecting to your iDevice to iTunes and you will be presented with a message saying a new firmware is available to download. Simply click on “Download and Upgrade”, and the process of download iOS 6 for your Apple device will begin.

If you are download iOS 6 via iTunes make sure you have the latest version of iOS 6 that is iTunes 10.7. If not download iTunes 10.7 right now.

OTA Update To iOS 6

Those of you who are running iOS 5.1.1 can simply download iOS 6 via OTA (Over The Air). To do that simply head over to Settings > General > Software Update. You will be presented with a message saying a new firmware is available. Simply tap on the install option.

iOS 6 Requirements

Well basically there are no such major requirements for download iOS 6. But you should note that; having the latest version of iTunes that is iTunes 10.7 will help you easily sync contact on iOS 6.

iOS 6 is not a jailbreak safe firmware so those of you who do not wish to lose your untethered jailbreak should not update to iOS 6 as you will lose your jailbreak.
