Hacker Mentions No Work Being Done On Jailbreaking iOS 6

By -

Whenever a new version of Apple software comes out, hackers around the world put their fingers to the work and get a jailbreak tool out as soon as possible, although we did have a hacker jailbreak the iPhone 5 within the first 24 hours but besides that there isn’t much work being done on jailbreaking iOS 6.

A prominent iOS hacker, pod2g mentioned that he is currently not working on jailbreaking iOS 6 which would further point that iOS 6 might take longer then the usual jailbreak release time.

Via Twitter he mentions:

This might sound bad news for most of those who were hoping for a quick iOS 6 jailbreak, as the majority of those who have not downloaded iOS 6 were waiting for the jailbreak.

Pod2g has been a key player in previous major jailbreaks including Absinthe which was the first jailbreaking tool to jailbreak all iOS devices on iOS 5.1.1. Also if you have been following the jailbreak related scene for quite sometime you would know that another prominent hacker pOsixninja left the Chronic Dev team which in the past has released major jailbreak tools.

Well it does seem it might take longer than usual to get a jailbreak out for iOS 6 but do not worry folks as you know never know what might be coming up next!
