Apple launched iOS 6 bringing over 200 new features to what Apple calls it the worlds most advanced operating system. Many people loved some new changes that were brought on such as improved Siri, 3D maps, new Do Not Disturb feature and much more. But there was one thing has caught the eye of most people recently and that is relating to Apple’s nightmarish new Maps App.
If you haven’t used Apple’s new maps application for iOS 6, you might be thinking what is all this fuss is about. Well for those of you I suggest give it a try. Although it is not out right un-usable but there are a few things that might put you off from using Apple’s maps app on iOS 6 such as the inaccuracy and details of maps. Install Google Maps On iOS 6
They say for every problem there is a solution. So folks we have the solution on installing Google maps on iOS 6 and it is a pretty simple one. So lets directly get into it.
If you remember only a day or two ago, Tim Cook CEO of Apple sent out an email mentioning how sorry Apple was for messing up Maps application, well in that email he suggested to try out some of it’s competitors’ services including the super famous Google Maps.
There is a super easy way to install Google maps for iOS 6 on your iPhone and iPad and here it is:
STEP 1: Go to maps.google.com on your iPhone iPad or iPod touch.
STEP 2: Tap the share button located at the bottom on iPhone (at the top of the iPad)
STEP 3: Now tap “Add to home screen”
STEP 4: Now tap on the add button at the upper right hand corner.
That is it folks! As simple as that
Now whenever you need to access Google maps on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 6, simply tap on the Google Maps icon created on your home screen.
Well currently this is the best option to install Google maps on iOS 6 but do not worry folks as Google is reportedly working on a maps application for iOS 6 which might completely replace Apple’s own not-so-great maps.
