There are just somethings that are never going to end, and it seems Apple vs Samsung court battles are on the list. After Apple defeated Samsung in what appears to be the largest battle in tech history and won $1.05 billion from Samsung, it seems Samsung isn’t going to let Apple live in peace. Samsung has decided to file a lawsuit against Apple’s iPhone 5.
Reuters now reports that on Tuesday Samsung filed a lawsuit against Apple mentioning they had little choice but no choice to go against the iPhone 5 to protect their intellectual property.
Samsung Electronics said on Tuesday that it filed a new lawsuit against Apple Inc in a U.S. court, contending the iPhone 5 infringed on Samsung’s patents.
In a statement, Samsung said: “…we have little choice but to take the steps necessary to protect our innovations and intellectual property rights.”
The lawsuit from Samsung comes after continues warning that iPhone 5 had infringed on six patents especially relating to wireless technology which it believes Apple copied them.
iPhone 5 which was unveiled only a couple of weeks ago has come under huge scrutiny not just from Samsung but from pretty much every big major corporations including Nokia which was pretty much out of the tech scene until its launch of the Lumia series.
Well if the lawsuit goes in favor of Samsung then Apple could face a huge fine/ban not just on the iPhone 5 but across all the models, including the previous generations which have been using wireless technology which Samsung claims Apple has stole from them.
Well what do you think? Is Samsung going to win this lawsuit? Let us know in the comments below.
