How small or big the company is, awards matter to all and the appreciation is always taken as a symbol of pride. The Mobile Choice Consumer Awards 2012 were held in London and there results got out with a boom, as Samsung Galaxy S III has been awarded the best smartphone of the year 2012. Now if you are wondering where is Apple, then this is to tell you that iPad won the award for the best tablet of the year. Here comes the detail for you.

Despite the mind blowing success and sales of iPhone 5, it didn’t take the first position, not because of Galaxy S III but because it wasn’t included in the competition nor was Nokia Lumia 920 included . But iPhone 4S was there and it stood for the second position. Following this were the HTC’s powerhouse One X, which took the bronze medal, Nokia Lumia 800 and Sony Xperia S.

One thing to be noticed is that the smart phones included from Apple and Nokia, for the nomination for the award were both old phones. And because of this we can say this that if the new ones would have been included then there might have been a twist in the result and winning the award for the best smart phone of the year wouldn’t be that easy for Samsung.

While the region where Apple remained successful in maintaining its supremacy is the tablet market. The award for best tablet for the year 2012 was awarded to iPad 3, for its incredible new features such as the large display, design, power and price. Whereas, Google ASUS Nexus 7 came second. But there are many companies that are going to launch new tablets soon, which are going to be strong competitors for the fruit company.

But that was not all, as awards were distributed for almost each aspect of the mobile market, from the most innovative device that was given to Galaxy Note “phablet”, to the best camera that was given to Nokia 808 PureView. Other awards included the Best Design that went to the Nokia Lumia 800, while for best value the Sony Xperia U was voted.
