Well Apple only sometime ago released an upgrade for iDevices. Apple released iOS 6.0.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch which brought in a number of bug fixes, and especially a big fix for the iPhone 5. Well you might be eager to upgrade to iOS 6.0.1 but if you want an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6+, do not upgrade to iOS 6.0.1! Here are the details.
Untethered Jailbreak iOS 6.0.1
The new firmware from Apple fixes some crucial bugs on iOS 6 such as OTA bug update for iPhone 5, and WPA2 Wi-Fi reliability. Although this small update might seem “a must upgrade” for most of you; I should remind you that, if you decide to upgrade to iOS 6.0.1, there will be a lower chance for you to get an untethered jailbreak for your iDevice.
Don’t upgrade to iOS 6.0.1 if you want an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6+.

As you might already be familiar with the workings of a jailbreak. The higher the firmware the harder it is for it to be untethered jailbroken. So keeping that in mind, upgrading to iOS 6.0.1 might not be a good decision.
Although there is no confirmed ETA on an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6, but do not worry folks as there are many iOS hackers who are still working on cracking Apple’s fortress to bring your Cydia on your iDevice.
Those of you who rely on unlocking their device also should not upgrade to iOS 6.0.1.
Well folks we will have more news on this coming soon. But for the time being do not upgrade to iOS 6.0.1.
