This year is quite important for all Apple lovers and users because in the list of expected gadgets for 2012, Apple’s iPhone 5S/6 is at the top and now the arrival seems to be even more obvious because, as in the case of iPhone 5, rumours have started to hit the surface before the official announcement of the smartphone. As per the most recent rumour it is said that Apple will be launching a higher-end meaning more expensive iPhone by the mid of this year, nearly in June, with one lower-end product too.
Canaccord Genuity analyst T. Michael Walkley told clients that due to iPhone 5, Apple saw a great demand in holiday period and therefore in the summer month, the company might launch a new “higher-end iPhone” and also a lower-end iPhone too.
Usually Apple opts September/October timing for a new iPhone launch but this time it’s going to release in June and this will bring a change in company’s usual sequence. Furthermore, another important thing to be noticed is once Apple launches the more expensive iPhone, (iPhone 5/6?) it will be followed by a lower-end smartphone. A cheaper iPhone.
As per the rumour, the higher-end will have the expected 4-inch screen, with more then the two typical white and black color. While the lower-end iPhone will be targeting towards emerging markets, and it will have a smaller 3.5-inch screen.
But nothing is finalized until the fruit company itself claims these arrivals.
What are your thoughts on a more expensive iPhone followed by a cheaper one?
