It has been many months since iOS 6 has been released to the public and we still do not have an untethered jailbreak for this specific firmware. So when exactly are we going to get the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6? Well read ahead to find out.
Untethered Jailbreak iOS 6 Release Date
Jailbreaking your iOS devices such as iPhone, iPad and iPod touch breaks all those restrictions placed by Apple, it basically gives your device wings. So you can imagine the number of people who are eager to jailbreak their iDevices. But the big problem is that creating jailbreaking tools such as redsnow are pretty hard, especially finding the right bugs can be a daunting task.
Creating these jailbreak tools are very hard but it’s not impossible. So the good news is that an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6 is going to be released very soon. Well how soon? Let’s find out.
iOS 6.1 Untethered Jailbreak
iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak. No, this is not a typo, it’s the real thing. You might be wondering iOS 6.1 is not even out yet so how can I say iOS 6.1 is going to get jailbroken untethered. Well folks, hackers have already jailbroken iOS 6 but have not released it due to the fact that iOS 6.1 is just round the corner.
iOS 6 beta 4 is going to expire on 28 January so before that Apple has to release either iOS 6.1 beta 5 or the GM (Gold Master) version. If Apple does release iOS 6.1 GM it will give the hackers a bit of an idea whether their exploit can be used to jailbreak untether that specific firmware. So it would be a safe bet to say that we will get the untethered jailbreak whenever iOS 6.1 goes live. And, no this is not guess-work, top hackers are waiting for the release too.
@musicruz nobody knows… Apple can be surprising at times. We’ll know as soon as 6.1 final is there.
