Download iOS 6.1 Beta 5
After many weeks of speculation, iOS 6.1 beta 5 has finally been released. With it as usual comes bug fixes and other improvements. But unlike previous betas for iOS 6.1 this is quite different. iOS 6.1 beta 5 is actually a public release! Yup, this can actually be called a public release as installing iOS 6.1 beta 5 does not require a developer registration and has no ReleaseType lockdown keys.
What this basically means is that you can simply install iOS 6.1 beta 5 from the download links, no hassle for bypassing Apple servers. Although I personally have not tried that yet but according to major hackers, it’s true.
Looks like iOS 6.1b5 isn’t a beta, it activates without developer registration and has no ReleaseType lockdown keys.
Despite the odd beta naming, as
@winocm discovered, this is actually releasable as public 6.1 at Apple’s will. Good! Home stretch….

Famed iOS hacker and sometimes troll mentions the same thing too.
i0n1c: Interesting thing about the iOS 6.1 Beta 5 release is that it has the build ID of a final, not that of a beta.
Although this might seem a bad thing (we previously mentioned hackers were waiting for final build of iOS 6.1 to test the new untethered jailbreak) but it does give us an idea on whether the final jailbreak is compatible with iOS 6.1 or not. Although we currently do not have any confirmation on that but soon we will let you know.
Those of you who want to try iOS 6.1 beta 5 out, can go ahead and download iOS 6.1 beta 5 and install it. Sorry no leaked links this time.
