Well we have some good news for those who were waiting for Evasion untethered jailbreak. We are happy to report that we have a confirmation regarding the release date/time for iOS 6/6.1 untethered jailbreak. The hackers behind the evasion jailbreak have mentioned that today is the day (Monday) they are going to release the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.

Many people, well actually the entire iOS jailbreaking community was expecting Evasion to be launched yesterday (Sunday) but due to some unknown reason it was delayed. Some people even went as far as claiming it was a fake. Those people really need to calm down as the good news is that today we are going to get the jailbreak. It is 100 percent confirmed!

Planetbeing, a hacker who has been working on this iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak tweeted this yesterday regarding the release:

Yes, tomorrow is a concrete release date. It’s also the only release date we’ve ever given.

Team Evaders completed the jailbreak late last night but did not release it because it was very late and nobody wanted to stay up all night and fix problems.

Well that out-of-the-way, the question now remains the exact release time. Don’t need to worry as we know a great deal to accurately guess the release time of iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak.

The good guys over at Reddit managed to “crack the code” regarding the exact release time! A person by the name of Zairex figured out the Javascript algorithm used for determining the status bar progress.

I just used Mathematica to calculate the value of all of these variables. As it turns out, when the 0x11c7 value is equal to 1359997200(00) the percentage is 100%. In Unix Time this value is exactly 12pm Noon EST 2/4/2013
