Convert Tethered Into Untethered Jailbreak
It was mentioned previously (before the release of the jailbreak) that team Evad3rs will release a Cydia package to convert the tethered jailbreak into untethered one. Those of you who did not jailbreak using evasion can now convert their tethered jailbreak into an untethered one by following the simple steps below.
These steps are only for those owners who previously had a tethered jailbreak on iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4 generation.
STEP 1: Open Cydia and tap on search.
STEP 2: In the search bar type “evasion 6.x Untether”. Evasion is with a zero.
STEP 3: Now tap on it.
STEP 4: Now tap on the install button on the top right hand corner.
STEP 5: Let it reboot.
STEP 6: If you have previously jailbroken with evasion before. It will basically show the same things.
That’s it folks. You will now have successfully converted your tethered jailbreak into an untethered one. We have tested this method out and yes it does work as it says, therefore you shouldn’t have any problem. But if you do encounter one simply leave a comment in the comment section below and we will get back to you.
