And, some just dodge Apple completely. One such app is called “HiddenApps”. Before you read about it, simply go to the App Store and download it because Apple is going to remove this very soon!
HiddenApps as the name suggests, allows you to hide your native iOS apps and that too without a jailbreak! Yes folks it does it without the requirement of a jailbreak.
As you know Apple does not allow such apps in the App Store, so maybe by the time you are reading this, it might have already been taken down. But definitely give it a try because you don’t normally get such apps on the App Store.
To hide native iOS apps simply download HiddenApps from the App Store and tap on the “hide apps” button. It will then show you a screen (pictured above) to hide any native iOS apps. Once you chose to hide an app, it will attempt to download a ‘poof’ app. It will then fail to download it. Don’t worry it is part of the plan. Once it says it has failed to download it, simply delete that icon from you screen.
Voila! You have now successfully hidden a native iOS app without a jailbreak.
Besides the function to hide all native iOS apps, it also allows you to opt out of iAds. You can choose to opt out of targeted iAds via tapping the “iAdOptOut” button or completely remove all iAds via tapping the “Disable all iAds” button.
It also allows you to see your signal strength. To do that, tap on the “field test” button and it will copy a number to your clipboard, then head over to the phone app and simply paste it. It will then open the field test which shows your carrier signal and other technical information.
There is one slight problem with it and that is, if you respring or reboot your iOS device you will have to repeat ‘hide app’ process again. But nonetheless it is a great app and you should download it before Apple removes it from the App Store.
