Apple has just released iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone. Those of you who have iPhone 5 can now download iOS 6.1.4 which brings an “updated audio profile for speakerphone”. Check out the details on how to download iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone below.

This new iOS versions which is iOS 6.1.4 is now available for download on iPhone 5, do keep in mind that this version of iOS software is only available for iPhone 5! Yes folks, only for those people who own iPhone 5 devices.

So what changes does this iOS 6.1.4 bring? Well nothing interesting really, it only brings an updated audio profile for speakerphone. That is it! Nothing else.

Those of you who have jailbroken their devices using evasion should not update to this firmware, as Apple has closed the loophole that was used for an untethered jailbreak on iOS 6.1.x.

As this version does not bring any major changes to iOS software, so you do not need to download it. Basically this is the most boring update for an iPhone. But for those folks who always want the latest firmware you can download iOS 6.1.4 for your iPhone.

To download iOS 6.1.4, simply go to Settings > General > Software Update, you will be presented with the new version. Click on download and install and your iPhone will be on iOS 6.1.4.

Another method to download iOS 6.1.4 is to connect your iPhone to iTunes and a message will pop up showing a new version is available. Simply tap on “download and update”.

  1. That’s pretty messed up… The iPhone 3 was able to do every update I ever did in my iPhone 4! What a scam, in my opinion. So basically, iOS 7 will never be able to work on your iPhone 4…. Oh well, I like it where it’s at and quite frankly, didnt care for the projected graphics and options involved with iOS 7. But was that really nessacary? Am I assuming incorrectly? There is no telling… Or doss anyone know something I don’t?
