The acclaimed hacker has done it once again. Pod2g has jailbroken (untethered) the new iPad 3 on iOS 5.1 and yes folks we do have a video to show it as proof. Check out the video below of the untether jailbreak of the new iPad 3.
Pod2g via his Twitter account mentioned the success of the untethered jailbreak for the iPad 3, we should also mention that this untether exploit which is being used to the new iPad also works on iPhone 4. So we can expect an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4 on iOS 5.1 too, although he did mention the untether exploit a week or so go. And yeah, he is trying the exploit on iOS 5.1.1 too!
“Hey. iPad 3,1 running iOS 5.1 untethered. Next on the list: stabilizing the payload, then trying 5.1.1.”

Do you know what the best part is? Well folks if this jailbreak exploit becomes successful not only will we have a jailbreak for the new iPad but for ALL iOS devices! Yes folks even iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
Well now the question is when is pod2g going to release the jailbreak tool? The answer it seems is still some weeks away.
