TinyUmbrella Updated For iOS 5 B2. Download To Save SHSH

By -

The developer behind TinyUmbrella has updated its popular application for iOS 5 beta version 2. You can now save SHSH for iOS 5 beta 2.

If you don’t know what SHSH does then… well you definitely need to know it now. What SHSH does is gives you the ability to downgrade to a lower firmware such as from iOS 5 to iOS 4.3.3. This is very important for users who jailbreak their devices using Snowbreeze, PwnageTool or Redsnow.

TinyUmbrella iOS 5 b2

Finally updated TinyUmbrella for 5.0B2. For those of you developers that care about it - knock yourselves out. More info on the blog

This update is for developers as only developers can get their hands on iOS 5 “legally“. If you are not a developer and still have iOS 5 then you should update your SHSH too.

Here is what the developer had to say about this update:

I’ll never understand the fascination people have with beta SHSHs. I’ve updated TinyUmbrella for 5.0b2.
As a small favor to those of you with microscopic screens I’ve also resized the application to a whopping 670 px vertical size. If this doesn’t work on your screen, then you need to pony up for a better computer; that’s all there is to it.

I’ve also fixed a couple nasty bugs regarding the log not being descriptive about what version you are not eligible for as well as getting a ‘in process’ message after changing from cydia to apple.

You can save your SHSH files by going to TinyUmbrella, you will see options for Mac and Windows both. Once downloaded connect your iDevice to computer and click “Save SHSH”.
