You might have already heard about the phrase “gone in 60 seconds”, well you are about to find out what’s it used for. A BestBuy store in San Carlos got robbed of more then 125 iPad 2’s in 60 seconds!
Thieves took off with at least 125 iPad 2’s on Thursday night from a local Bestbuy store according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Local authorities reached the store at 11 50 p.m, one minute after the commercial alarm sounded, but the thieves were no where to be seen. They took off with around $100,000 worth of Apple goodies in 60 seconds.
The two robbers executed this plan of robbing iPads with quite precision. They were in and out in less than 60 seconds according to CBS news.
The deputies determined that the suspects slid under the jacked-up security gate and dragged a large locked steel rack containing the 125 tablet computers through a fire exit door and onto a vehicle.
Police are looking for any information regarding this heist to contact sheriff’s Detective Victor Bertolozzi at (650) 363-4057 or to call the office’s anonymous tip line at (800) 547-2700.
