iOS 6 Beta 1 Gets Jailbroken Only After A Day Of Release!

By -

Well it didn’t take that long. iOS 6 beta 1 has been jailbroken thanks to iPhone Dev team leader musclenerd who tweeted today mentioning he has jailbroken iOS 6 and it is a tethered jailbreak.

Apple yesterday launched iOS 6 beta 1 to developers in its annual World Wide Developer Conference but those of you who have been following Maypalo can get iOS 6 beta 1 on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch without a developer account. Follow this link for installing iOS 6 beta 1 and this for getting free UDID registration.

The new iOS 6 brings in over 200 new features but now it brings even more thanks to musclenerd who has jailbroken iOS 6 beta 1:

Here’s ioreg of my tethered-JB ipt4g 6.0 ..MANY things including Cydia are broken, don’t expect beta JB for a while!

Well its good to know that iOS 6 beta 1 has been jailbroken but the bad news is many things are not working properly on iOS 6 beta 1 and that includes the most important thing about jailbreak, Cydia. Although Cydia can be installed right now but its broken so do not expect a release soon for iOS 6 jailbreak.

Currently this iOS 6 beta 1 jailbreak is tethered and until Apple releases the final version of iOS 6 beta 1 all jailbreak versions will be tethered ones.

The jailbreak dream team mentioned last time that they have started working on iOS 6 jailbreak and will release it when iOS 6 gets the green signal from Apple for the final public release. Until then you are stuck with a tethered jailbreak for iOS 6 betas.
