It seems that Apple keeps breaking records year-after-year and the year 2015 is no exception. Apple has broken its previous record for selling the most iPhones in the first three days of availability. Apple has sold a mind-numbing 13 million iPhones in the first three days!
Many people were skeptical if the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus was going to beat last year’s record of 10 million iPhones sold in the first three days. Well that number has been laid to rest by the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus.
Tim Cook had great things to say about the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus beating last year’s numbers.
Apple press release:
“Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9.”
The iPhone 6S packs tons of new cool features and with iOS 9, it’s just icing the cake.
Are you one of those 13 millions people who bought the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus?
