Those of you who are expecting new things from Apple should be happy to know that Apple has indeed big plans for us in the coming months. Apple is going to launch a new Apple Watch with the ‘S’ upgrade on March 15.
Yesterday, reliable media outlets 9to5mac and Buzzfeed both put the dates for an Apple event for March 15, which goes hand-to-hand with other rumors we have been hearing regarding an Apple event. Apple is expected to launch new hardware such as the iPhone 5SE and updated iPad Air; some are also mentioning of new band options for the Apple Watch. But today we have something new.
Analyst Gene Munster who has a shaky track record when it comes to Apple today issued a note to investors mentioning Apple is going to launch updated Apple Watch. This would be in line with the ‘S’ upgrade iPhone receives every alternate year; same design but improved internals.
The analyst mentions that it will have improved: battery, faster processor and new band styles but will not come with a wireless radio as it will still rely on an iPhone to do most of the work.
The past rumors are expecting new band for Apple Watches but no hardware improvement and since Munster does not have a good track record, I wouldn’t bet on him.
