When you have lots of apps on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, it sometimes gets a bit too complicated for you to maintain them. You put them in folders but what happens sometimes is that you mistakenly move them someplace else. In worst case scenario, you delete an important app by mistake. Well thanks to jailbreaking that isn’t going to happen anymore!
A new Cydia tweak has been released, that will stop you from moving an app or deleting it, which as you can guess is very useful. This new Cydia tweak is called IconLock7.
IconLock7, a free Cydia tweak in the BigBoss repo allows you to set a password. This password will be used whenever you want to move or delete an app on your iOS device running iOS 7.
As mentioned above, once you install the app, you simply press+hold on an icon (the same way you enter the wiggle mode). But this time instead of going in to the wiggle mode, it will display the password option. If this is the first time you are using the app; you will need to create a password. But do note that you can enter the password only once, there is no verification which makes this process kind of risky.
After that is done, you are good to go. Now no one can delete an app or move it without knowing your password. This Cydia tweak is great but as I mentioned above the absence of password verification process makes the tweak not-so-perfect.
This is a free Cydia tweak so there isn’t anything to complain about. So go ahead and download IconLock7 for your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
