This is something none of us had expected and not even Apple mentions it on their official website. It seems that the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus are waterproof! Well, I didn’t know about this and after watching the video, it might just be true. The next iPhone’s, the 6S are waterproof. Check out the video below.
As you will see from the video below, a YouTuber submerges an iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in bowl of water for more than an hour. After their ‘water test’, the iPhone 6S seem to be working perfectly without any problem - even the 3D Touch seems to be working fine.

This is something none of us would expect. Also do note that these iPhone’s were put in a bowl of water, it might be different if it falls in a swimming pool for an example. The pressure might play a part in how the iPhone’s work. The greater the pressure, the less likely the chance of them working.
After last year’s ‘bendgate’ issue, Apple made the new iPhone 6S from 7000 series aluminum, which is much stronger than what the iPhone 6S has. Is that the reason why the iPhone 6S are waterproof? Well we don’t know yet.
