When Apple announced the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus - everyone knew that they were going to be a massive hit. Well today it has just been confirmed. Apple has just confirmed via a press release that they have sold well over 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units in the first three days of it being available.
10 million iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus units being sold worldwide makes it the fastest selling Apple product in history - another record that Apple can add to its books.
It was no suprise that Apple was going to sell millions, considering the lines outside Apple stores worldwide were really long.
Tim Cook had to say this about the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus:
“Sales for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus exceeded our expectations for the launch weekend, and we couldn’t be happier,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “We would like to thank all of our customers for making this our best launch ever, shattering all previous sell-through records by a large margin. While our team managed the manufacturing ramp better than ever before, we could have sold many more iPhones with greater supply and we are working hard to fill orders as quickly as possible.”
No doubt that Apple was going to sell a lot of iPhone 6s, as these were the first iPhones in almost two years which had a new design and were bigger. Also the iPhone 6 Plus was the first phablet from the Cupertino Company.
Apple is going to keep breaking records if it brings out great products in the future.
