Whenever Apple releases a new firmware, it is only a matter of time when Apple will stop signing the previous one. Well, you can now say farewell to iOS 9.2 as today Apple stopped signing the firmware for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
One of the reasons why it is important to know whether Apple is still signing it or not is because of the downgrade option. If you are one of those folks who love to keep their device jailbroken then being on a previous version will help you stay jailbroken for a longer time.
Just like with all versions, Apple today stopped signing iOS 9.2; therefore, if you update now you can no longer downgrade to iOS 9.2. Might not sound like a big deal to most of you but to some it is huge.
Unlike previous Apple signing times, this one is a bit different as not all iOS devices are being stopped from signing to iOS 9.2. It seems it has affect some but not all iOS devices.
