iOS 7.1 brings in speed improvements and other UI changes. Overall it is a great upgrade for many people especially those of you who use old iOS devices such as the iPhone 4.
But there are some problems especially for the iPhone 5S users while using the fingerprint Touch ID. The new update; iOS 7.1, causes the finger tech to not work properly.
If you have been facing this problem, you are not alone. A quick look at Apple support forums show that there are many people who updated to iOS 7.1 and now are facing problems regarding the Touch ID. But do not worry as I have some tips for you that will fix your iPhone 5S touch ID on iOS 7.1.
Fix Touch ID iOS 7.1
Step 1: Restore your iPhone 5S on iOS 7.1.
Step 2: Once restored head over to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode. Now tap on Add Fingerprint and scan your fingers using the home button. Use more than one finger for the Touch ID.
Note: If your fingerprint data is already saved, delete all of it and add the new ones.
Step 3: Reboot your iPhone.
By following the above method the Touch ID on iOS 7.1 should be fixed. If the problem still persists, then you should head over to your local Apple store and get it checked there.
